Born in Scotland, raised in Yorkshire and living in Berlin since 2013, Ewan Smith, or Youandewan to the rest of us, has been carving out a reputation as a purveyor of Deeper-than-deep house sounds for over a decade now. With releases on Lion & Lamb regulars’ Butter Side Up, Secretsundaze and his own label The Brane, Ewan exemplifies the UK-Berlin connection that has been so central to the latest furthering of house and tech over the last few years, while his sets also display a great appreciation for hidden gems of the same ilk.
